The Homeless Structures of the Municipality of Rhodes, carried out a series of actions, in collaboration with Emfasis Non-Profit within the framework of the EmfaSEAs Programme, which is implemented with a donation from the Athina I. Martinou Foundation and with the Center for Prevention against Addictions and Health Promotion "DIODOS".

More specifically, on Monday 11 September at the Summer Cinema “Rodon”, with the support of DOPAR and in collaboration with “PASSAGEWAY” the documentary "Roofless Dreams", directed by Sotiris Danezis, was aired.

On Tuesday, September 12 at the offices of the Municipal Welfare Organization of Rhodes Emfasis implemented an Experiential Workshop for Exchange of Experiences, in which all the staff of the Homeless Structures, the Social and Economic Service of the ICO, the Social Officer of the “System Provider Structure”, the scientific staff of “DIODOS” and the Social Worker of the program “Housing and Work for Homeless” participated. During the workshop, there was an exchange of experiences, methods, techniques and challenges related to vulnerable target groups (their management and approach).

In the evening of the same day a Social Streetwork Field Shift was held with the participation of the scientific team of Homeless Structures and Emfasis. The purpose of Social Streetwork is to provide uninterrupted support to the homeless by providing basic necessities, mental health first aid and personalised psychosocial support. The location of Streetwork was central to the city of Rhodes.

Also on Thursday, September 14, Emfasis Non-Profit in cooperation with the Women's Counselling Center of the Municipality of Rhodes and Europe Direct ofSouth Aegean, held the action “Spaghetti of Equality” and the prepared meals were distributed to the public as well as to the beneficiaries of the Homeless Structure of the Municipality of Rhodes.

Through this series of actions, the people of Rhodes have been able to learn about the ways in which they can help and support our vulnerable citizens in practice. A project that concerns all of us as a society.

The President — Deputy Mayor D.R. Georgios Efthimios Triantos, the members of the Board of Directors and the Management of the ICO, expressed their warm thanks to the Emfasis Team for the excellent cooperation, rich experiences and empowerment of the personnel of all structures that participated in the above actions.
