Elin announces that it has started its partnership with the award-winning urban, civil non-profit company Emfasis, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, “othisi”

Driven by social welfare and progress, Elin supports two Mobile Support Units (MSU), covering their expenses in tolls, parking, cleaning and fuel for movement. At the same time, the company has covered the cost of equipping an additional mobile unit with a defibrillator, cooling jacket, isothermal clothing, anti-slip chains and portable transceivers. Emfasis Non-Profit supports our socially vulnerable citizens facing homelessness and unemployment or social exclusion as well as families below the poverty line. At the same time, the organization's dynamic Streetwork team, flanked by a trained network of volunteers, works daily on the streets, providing survival supplies and personalized psychosocial support to those in need.

As part of this cooperation, in the period from March to May 2023, Emfasis Non-Profit carried out two missions with MSU in the island regions of Evoia and Salamina, in order to provide food assistance to the domestic vulnerable population, 19 shifts with MSU and 27 Streetwork shifts on the streets of Athens. In total, more than 170 hours were recorded in the field and 478 approaches of our socially marginalized fellow citizens, in solidarity and with absolute respect for their dignity. At the same time, the volunteer team of ELIN also played an active role in the organization's actions, as its members found themselves in the field and trained in streetwalking with the aim of contributing to the activities of the organization. They contribute both to the relief and empowerment of the socially vulnerable and to the vision of an inclusive, “for all” society. After their training, the members of the “push” group, together with the volunteers of Emfasis Non-Profit, conducted streetwalking shifts and provided practical support to those in need.
