Protothema.gr: "AEGEAN Easter Crew": AEGEAN’s employee volunteer team carried out another Easter initiative of giving and solidarity.

More than 100 volunteers and AEGEAN employees gathered on Holy Monday, April 14th, at the company’s premises to assemble Easter Baskets with food, essential supplies, Easter treats, and handmade candles. The candles were crafted by the employees themselves, under the guidance of the people from SOS Children’s Villages, as part of another volunteer initiative by the company.

These gift baskets were distributed throughout Holy Week by Emfasis Non-Profit to individuals and families living in conditions of homelessness or below the poverty line, conveying the message of giving from AEGEAN’s employees.

Handmade candles from "Amymoni," the Panhellenic Association of Parents, Guardians, and Friends of People with Vision Impairments and Additional Disabilities, and the street magazine "Shedia," will also be offered by AEGEAN flight crews to younger and older passengers on Good Friday and Holy Saturday flights—spreading a message of solidarity and support for these organizations' work.

Through the enthusiasm and participation of AEGEAN's volunteers and flight crews, the company’s ongoing commitment to actively supporting society through its people is once again made evident.

“For more than 25 years, AEGEAN has consistently supported vulnerable social groups and those in need. With the strength we draw from our passengers, as well as from our people who volunteer their time, energy, and love in our initiatives, we can carry out both large and small actions that promote solidarity and giving—especially during the festive seasons. We sincerely thank the members of the 'AEGEAN Easter Crew,' our employee volunteers, for their heartfelt participation, and the NGOs Emfasis Non-Profit, SOS Children’s Villages, Amymoni, and the street magazine Shedia for their contribution to our efforts. We wish everyone a Happy Easter,” stated Marina Spyridaki, Corporate Affairs Director of AEGEAN.
