• Program: Erasmus+ (Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education - KA220-ADU)
• Duration: 01/12/2025 – 31/05/2028 (30 months)
About the Project
STRENGTH responds to the urgent need to support an "invisible" but growing population group: older homeless people (50+). These individuals face multiple challenges, such as "premature aging," chronic diseases, and social exclusion, which require a specialized approach from professionals in the field.
The project aims to create a flexible and certified training program for social workers and adult educators. Its innovation lies in the use of Participatory Research, involving the homeless people themselves in the design of the tools that will be used to support them.
Main Objectives
1. Training: Developing the skills of professionals (soft & hard skills) for managing cases of elderly homeless people.
2. Social Inclusion: Integrating the voice and experience of homeless people into the training process.
3. Digital Access: Creation of an open e-learning platform for free access to educational material.
4. Interconnection: Strengthening cooperation between health, housing, and social welfare services at the European level.
Expected Results
• National Research Reports on homelessness in Greece, Italy, and the Netherlands.
• Comprehensive Training Program aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
• Transnational exchange of good practices through field visits.
• Open access online training platform.
