Mother’s Day event organized by the Mouzaki Women’s Cultural Association Mouzaki and Emfasis Non-Profit

On the pedestrian walkway of the Mouzaki Public Library, bathed in light and surrounded by nature, we celebrated Mother’s Day in a special way.

Our Association, in collaboration with Emfasis Non-Profit, honored mothers with an Open Assembly / Empowerment Workshop as part of the program “FONIForos: Strengthening Citizen Political Participation in Times of Crisis in Western Greece and Thessaly.”

We discussed the pivotal role of the mother, the activist mother, the mother from antiquity to the present day, the mother as a fighter, and more broadly, the mother who is surrounded by stereotypes and societal expectations.

Our guest of honor was the exceptional Trikala-based author Nikos Mantzios. Together with him, we had the opportunity to put our imagination on paper through the Creative Writing workshop.
